Overview

About This Tour

Walk the last stretch of the Inca Trail the way it was meant to be walked — on foot, through cloud forest, arriving at the Sun Gate just as the morning mist lifts off the citadel.

Our Cusco-born guides set the pace, porters handle the heavy lifting, and handpicked mountain lodges mean hot showers and warm beds every night. Small groups, big mountains, zero guesswork.

Day By Day

  1. Day 1 — Cusco acclimatisation: private walking tour, coca tea tasting, and a briefing with your guide over dinner.

  2. Day 2 — Sacred Valley: Ollantaytambo fortress, a riverside picnic, and the trailhead at KM 104.

  3. Day 3 — The Sun Gate: sunrise arrival at Inti Punku, a full guided circuit of the citadel, and rail return to Cusco.

  4. Day 4 — Free morning in Cusco with optional market visit and airport transfers.

Tour FAQs

How fit do I need to be?

Moderately fit is enough — the longest walking day is about 6 hours with breaks. We keep a slow, steady Andean pace.

What is the altitude?

Cusco sits at 3,400m. Day 1 is deliberately easy so your body adjusts before the trail.

When is the best month?

April to October brings dry skies; December to March is greener and quieter. We run both.
